RPS' team of specialist project managers has been engaged by the Department of Defence to deliver maintenance infrastructure upgrades at RAAF Base Amberley in Queensland.
The project will provide a new aircraft parking apron for the RAAF's fleet of eight Boeing C-17 Globemaster aircraft at Amberley, in addition to a new maintenance facility that incorporates telescopic docking, workshops and support areas.
The C-17s provide the Royal Australian Air Force with unprecedented air lift operational capacity, and allows Australia to rapidly deploy personnel, vehicles, equipment and supplies to strategic locations across the globe.
Drawing on our many years of experience managing and contributing technical services to support Defence projects at RAAF Base Amberley, RPS is the lead project manager on this $219 million program of works.
Once complete, the new facilities at RAAF Base Amberley will help ensure the RAAF is fully-equipped to manage the ongoing operation and maintenance of its C-17 Globemaster fleet.
