RPS provides specialist planning, permitting and environmental services for the new nuclear power sector. We offer decommissioning and remediation services to operators of existing installations of all scales.

RPS has worked with clients to assist on early site evaluation and the UK Government's Strategic Siting Assessment, the result of which has been the selection of the eight new nuclear sites in the National Policy Statement.

On several of the sites that are currently being progressed we are providing Health Impact Assessment, sustainability, Environmental Impact Assessment, environmental permitting, transport and planning support for Development Consent Order preparation and we are working to support their grid connection and construction, including the supporting infrastructure.

At many of the UK's existing nuclear installations we are providing planning, EIA, decommissioning, site remediation and radioactive waste management advice. This includes planning applications and EIAs for new facilities at AWE Aldermaston, land remediation studies at a number of Magnox sites and transport plans for AWE and new nuclear construction sites.
