Offshore Wind

The UK is recognised as a world leader in offshore wind, and generates more electricity from offshore wind than any other country, having led the way in cost reduction and innovation. Offshore wind now meets around 5% of annual demand and is expected to generate over 10% of UK electricity by 2020. With continued investment and technological advances, offshore could become the UK’s leading power source.

RPS has been at the forefront of the survey management, planning and consenting of offshore wind for over 15 years. In the UK we have worked on the majority of Round 1 and Round 2 sites, for several Round 3 projects, including: Hornsea Project One, Hornsea Project Two, Atlantic Array and more recently Hornsea Project Three as well as Scottish projects such as Beatrice, Moray and Inch Cape. Our work also extends to the wider Europe region and globally, specifically multiple projects in the Dutch sector, a strategic study for BOEM in the US and for projects in the Australia Asia Pacific region.
