RPS is a market leader in distribution warehouse design, having designed over 80 millionft2; of logistics space with building sizes ranging from 10,000ft2 to 1.5 millionft2. From site assessments and masterplanning to detailed design and project completion onsite, we provide integrated planning, transport, environmental and project management services which enable our architects and engineers to develop sustainable designs ‘from the inside out’.

We have extensive expertise of a wide variety of project scenarios, including: newbuilds and refurbishments, single and mixed-use schemes, intermodal with rail, port or air links and development on both greenfield and brownfield sites. Our experience covers mega-sheds, automated high bay projects, temperature-controlled, air cargo and rail-linked facilities and projects on challenging and operational sites.

Our core services are offered as either an integrated package for full coordination or stand-alone services with a wider project team.

Kester’s expertise includes concept design from inception through to completion, specialising in initial site master planning and providing options appraisals in order to optimise the operational or asset potential of the facility, on often complex or operational sites.

John is a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 24 years’ experience, leading a large team specialising in the feasibility, design and delivery of facilities for clients within the logistics, industrial and manufacturing sectors. John has played a key role in the design of over 8 millionft2 of logistics space and is a member of Steering Group and Design Sub Group for the Concrete Society Technical Report 34 – Concrete Industrial Ground Floors (4th Edition).

Duncan Berry

Duncan’s expertise lies in the delivery of high-profile industrial and distribution developments, and infrastructure schemes. He has steered individual projects, ranging from £1m to £100m, to their successful completion, and has led RPS’ Cost and Project Management division in the delivery of over 25 millionft2 of space in the last decade. Specialisms include: key sector specialist, procurement strategy, project management / client representation, fund monitoring and commercial risk management.
