The RPS Acoustics Team, based across the UK, has an enviable track record for the provision of specialist acoustics, noise & vibration consultancy services. Our dedicated team of consultants has extensive experience of working with public and private sector clients from across a wide range of industries, project sizes and scopes.

The team works closely with its clients at all stages of a project's lifecycle from inception to design to commissioning and compliance testing. We provide practical and cost-effective solutions, tailored to our clients’ unique needs, throughout the process, including the provision of expert witness services, if required.

Our consultants are members of the Institute of Acoustics and RPS is a member of the Association of Noise Consultants. Senior team members are also active on British Standards Institution committees drafting and revising key noise & vibration related standards.

Phil is a leading environmental acoustics expert at RPS and heads the team from the office in Brighton. He is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and a Fellow of the Geological Society. He is also active on a number of British Standards Institution committees covering noise and vibration applications; he is an experienced expert witness.

Simon Stephenson

Simon is a leading expert in the fields of industrial noise and vibration assessment and control and underwater acoustics gained throughout the UK and overseas. He works out of the Southampton office and is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Acoustics and secretary of the Institute of Acoustics Noise and Vibration Engineering Group.

Giles Hine

Giles is an acoustician with over 14 years’ experience. He specialises in undertaking noise and vibration assessments, both as standalone projects and as part of larger projects such as EIA. In addition to his environmental noise capability, Giles also specialises in building and architectural acoustics and works out of the Manchester office.
