Ecology

With 20 years’ experience RPS Ecologists offer cost-effective and practical ecological solutions for all types of development, whether terrestrial, aquatic, coastal or marine.

From resolving bat issues in individual homes to delivering all ecological requirements for large-scale complex commercial developments including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP), we have an excellent reputation for the quality of our work, built on the team’s pragmatic ecological approach and excellent client care.

We are renowned for getting permission for even the most challenging proposals whilst maintaining the highest possible professional standards. We work closely with our planning colleagues and other technical specialists within RPS to identify key constraints and opportunities early on in a project’s development. We are then able to devise and coordinate appropriate measures to avoid or minimise any negative ecological issues.

Our integrated suite of ecological planning and development solutions include the full range of ecological services, ensuring compliance with land-based, aquatic and marine wildlife legislation.

We are trusted advisors to both the private and public sectors, with staff contributing to a range of ecology guidance. As part of our quality assurance, all key ecology staff are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).
