Simon is a senior infrastructure planner providing town and country planning, consents and environmental advice on major energy and infrastructure related developments. He has helped deliver complex consents for UK renewable energy developments collectively exceeding 3GW of generation capacity for clients including Centrica, SMart Wind, DONG Energy and FAB Link. Simon works closely with developer clients often working ‘in-house’ in key consents management and project delivery roles.

Dan Smyth

Dan is a consent project manager and technical expert who has taken a leading role in preparing DCO applications, and has worked on some of the most complex waste, energy and aviation projects in the UK. Working in the client’s interest as client representative, Dan coordinates and directs RPS’ skills and can assemble a team of experts covering most fields, from external as well as internal resources.

Andy has provided planning and EIA advice on a number large scale infrastructure projects including DCO applications for NSIPs such as Hornsea Offshore Windfarm Projects One, Two and Three and the Kemsley 3 CHP Generating Station at DS Smith Paper Mill in Kent. He has advised on a wide range of matters including cable routing and HVDC/HVAC Substations. He also has prepared a number of applications for related consents including Marine Licenses from the MMO for projects such as the Tetney Sealine project and the surface water outfall for the Kemsley 3 CHP Generating Station.

Angela is an accomplished planning project lead, with extensive experience in infrastructure planning and a thorough understanding of the consenting process for NSIPs. She is currently advising RiverOak Strategic Partners on their DCO plans to reopen Manston Airport and she worked as an integral part of the EdF Energy team on Hinkley Point C during its critical formative stages.

Andrew has acted as consents officer for National Grid on its North Wales Connection DCO and was a key member of the project teams, providing planning input and project managing the first application for a Development Consent Order (DCO) in Wales at Merthyr as well as the South Hook CHP Plant in Milford Haven.
