TransCanada Corporation is planning a major natural gas pipeline to bring gas from northern British Columbia to the Northern Pacific Coast for LNG export. This pipeline is called the Prince Rupert Gas Transmission (PRGT) Project. If built, the 900 km PRGT pipeline will deliver natural gas from a point near the District of Hudson's Hope to the proposed Lelu Island Pacific NorthWest LNG natural gas liquefaction and an export facility near Prince Rupert, British Columbia.
RPS’ Land Team was responsible for land management matters for the pipeline including regulatory applications and compliance (British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission), Public Notification, Trapper and Guide and Outfitter consultation and and compensation programs, securing third party access and field negotiation and client representation. RPS is proud to have worked with PRGT and, as of 2015, PRGT has received all regulatory permits from the British Columbia OGC required to build and operate the pipeline.
