This large scale, multi-award winning development provides a new residential-led, mixed-use quarter integrating a site which is bisected by a canal, to provide a modern sustainable urban community.
This challenging development includes the regeneration of existing historic, industrial buildings, landscaping and park space whilst maintaining access to the canal. Our team had an in-depth understanding and appreciation for the need to keep the final development in the local context.
Wolverton park delivers a new modern innovative architectural solution within a historic context, including the development and conversion of the town’s Grade II – listed Royal Train Shed. In total the development provides 31 apartments in the former train shed and conversion of the old locomotive workshop known as The Triangular Building into 46 apartments, while 223 new apartments are also constructed in the main blocks. 30% of the new build is designated to as affordable with 25% being shared ownership and 5% rented at affordable rates.
