Dafne Valle is an engineer with expertise in traffic operation analysis and highway safety. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez Campus with a doctoral degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Transportation Engineering. Dafne has published and presented in a variety of professional forums such as the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), International Road Federation (IRF), Transportation Research Board (TRB), and Latin American and Caribbean Conference for Engineering and Technology (LACCEI). Her research experience involved the development of safety performance functions for interstate highways, highway safety, and pedestrian safety.
During her doctoral degree, Dafne was awarded the Graduate Fellowship from the Dwight David Eisenhower Transportation Fellowship Program of the Federal Highway Administration. This fellowship is a merit-based award for the nation’s brightest in the field of transportation.
Dafne has worked with several transportation engineering firms in the City of Austin. Currently, Dafne provides engineering consultant services as a Traffic Operations and Highway / Pedestrians Safety Analyst at RPS in Central Texas. Dafne is the Lead Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) reviewer for the City of Georgetown. A TIA is required to assess the transportation aspects of a proposed development. She also assists the City of Cedar Park in TIA reviews and the City of Leander with traffic and safety studies.
