Our Acoustics team is rapidly expanding to meet the growing needs of our clients. As part of wider Tetra Tech, to become one of the largest in the UK, with experts based in Brighton, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle.
In addition, we welcome Jonty Stewart and Pam Lowery as Associate Directors, and Richard Calvert as an Acoustics Associate to strengthen our Team and enhance our building acoustics capabilities.
Our UK Acoustics Team has continuously grown to offer comprehensive acoustic, noise, and vibration services across a variety of sectors. Associate Director - Acoustics
Meet Jonty Stewart, a new Associate Director of Acoustics in the RPS UK Environment Division, based in our Brighton office. With a career spanning over 15 years in acoustic consultancy and a background in audio/acoustics lecturing, Jonty brings a wealth of expertise to our team. His previous role involved overseeing noise management for large-scale outdoor events , including Glastonbury, highlighting his extensive experience in the field. Jonty's involvement in building acoustics committees and certification programs demonstrates his commitment to advancing the industry. Outside of work, Jonty enjoys international travel and showcasing his culinary skills.
Jonty bolsters our environmental and building acoustics capabilities. With a diverse career path that includes sound engineering, teaching, and event management, Jonty's journey has uniquely positioned him to excel in his role. His passion for acoustics and dedication to quality assurance make him an invaluable asset to our UK team.
Pam Lowery
Associate Director - Acoustics
We're delighted to welcome Pam Lowery, a new Associate Director of Acoustics in the UK Environment Division with over 22 years of experience in the Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration sector. Prior to her consultancy roles, Pam held positions with National Highways and High Speed Two (HS2 Ltd) and therefore brings a wealth of public sector experience to our team. Based in our Birmingham office, Pam will be instrumental in supporting our Acoustics Team across the UK.
As a Member of the Institute of Acoustics and a Practitioner Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), Pam's credentials speak volumes. Her expertise in environmental acoustics, particularly in transportation, has been invaluable in providing technical and policy support for numerous road and rail projects. Pam's contributions extend beyond her consultancy work, as she has played a key role in developing noise and vibration assessment procedures for road schemes and co-authored technical standards for HS2 Phase One. Outside of work, Pam enjoys live music, Formula 1 and exploring coastal destinations with her husband and dog.
Richard Calvert
Associate - Acoustics
We're delighted to welcome Richard Calvert, a new Associate Director of Acoustics in the UK Environment Division based in our Manchester office.
Richard is a highly experienced acoustic consultant with over 18 years’ experience in the fields of environmental noise and building acoustics. Richard worked on a large variety of projects including detailed design of schools, complex and large environmental noise impact assessments, and international minerals projects. He provides an excellent addition to our team.
In his spare time, Richard is a keen runner and enjoys exploring the footpaths in the local area. He also volunteers as the H&S officer at an annual vintage steam rally held in the Trough of Bowland. The event has been running since 1997 and has raised a significant amount of money for charity.
