Innovation and sustainability will drive the future of engineering
Sunday 23 June 2019 was International Women in Engineering day, with the theme for this year being #TransformTheFuture. To celebrate this, we spoke to some of RPS’ women engineers
- to find out how they feel about working in the industry
- how they see it evolving and
- how we can get more women and young people in general interested in Engineering.
Each day this week we will be focusing on one of the questions we posed, detailing their answers through LinkedIn and on our website. All our women engineers agreed that when it comes to the future of engineering, it needs to become increasingly innovative, recognise environmental issues and, importantly, the solutions that engineers can offer in a complex, urbanising and resource-scarce world.
