Jana to become Roads Australia (RA) Fellow
RPS Associate Director, Jana Balachandran will join the infrastructure industry’s young elite as a Roads Australia Fellow in 2021.
Sponsored by John Holland, the Roads Australia (RA) Fellowship Program is a mentoring initiative that matches infrastructure ‘up and comers’ with senior leaders in the sector. Over a year, the program helps participants to build vital leadership skills, network with mentors and connect with other leading minds in transport.
Jana is a worthy candidate. An Associate Director working within our Australian Advisory business, the young consultant has already contributed to city-shaping transport projects including Sydney’s Western Harbour Tunnel Beaches Link, Sydney Metro and Melbourne’s North East Link.
“RPS sees the RA Fellowship Program as a great opportunity for emerging leaders like Jana to accelerate their career trajectory in the roads and transport sector,” said RPS Executive General Manager for Commercial and Delivery, Rob Fields.
“We were really pleased that he was accepted into the 2021 program and look forward to seeing the program shape his career development—both here at RPS and on the national transport projects he works on into the future.”

Jana’s appointment to the RA Fellowship Program is the second in a row for RPS, with Sydney-based Associate Director Alan Ninan taking part in the program last year. He said it was a privilege to be selected as a participant for 2021.
“The RA Fellowship provides an exciting opportunity to learn from and engage with key decision-makers in industry. The opportunity to be paired with and learn from a mentor will, I believe, further develop my leadership skills and enhance my ability to add value to our industry and clients of RPS,” Jana said.
