RPS Acquires Whelans InSites
RPS has continued to expand its Australian business with the acquisition of NSW surveying and development firm Whelans InSites.
With Whelans InSites joining the group, RPS will have a 200-strong NSW team based in Newcastle and across Greater Sydney.
“Whelans InSites is a premium brand for surveying and mapping services in NSW, complementing our team and bringing an even greater depth of spatial expertise to our business,” said RPS Australia Asia Pacific CEO John Tompson “Over the past 35 years, Whelans InSites has been building a strong client base and reputation for client service and technical excellence. Our two companies share strong track records in the infrastructure sector, along with some common clients including North West Rail Link and WestConnex. We are currently delivering survey services together to Transport for NSW for the Maldon to Dombarton Rail Link.”
In addition to surveying, mapping and urban planning Whelans InSites have considerable expertise in civil engineering and water quality on urban development projects, 3D animations, visualisation and real-time 3D modelling, which will complement RPS’ current service offering.
