Supporting the food industry with onsite Occupational Health services
RPS successfully delivered occupational health services for a large multinational client. Services were provided at multiple sites across the UK, including their main production facility.
Â
Following a detailed implementation process which was closely managed and monitored by our dedicated Account Manager, Gemma Boycott, the contract commenced in the Autumn of 2019. The service comprised onsite visits from both our occupational health nurses and technicians.
The client had been suffering from high levels of sickness absence. Our team focused on essential health surveillance activities to bring sickness down from a rate of about 17% to 8% over a period of two months. This has continued in a downward trajectory since we started the project bringing savings to the client in terms of increased productivity.
Health surveillance programs were also put in place to ensure that those at the highest risk were given priority assessments, and we are now moving onto more routine regular testing.
