Meet our speakers
Topaz Simply, Director of Environmental Risk - Topaz leads RPS’s ESG business unit in North America, which is focused on helping companies establish an ESG strategy, address risks and opportunities, and develop public-facing sustainability reports. Over the past 10 years, Topaz has evaluated companies’ ESG standing by reviewing product claims, impacts of extreme weather events on operations, employee engagement and retention, human rights issues across the supply chain, business ethics, and customers’ sustainability expectations, among other topics. After identifying the key ESG issues, he works with companies to execute on an action plan aimed at addressing those issues.
Griffin Charnas, Consultant III - Griffin Charnas is an ESG Consultant within RPS’ Environmental Risk group. He received a B.S. in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and has over 5 years of experience working with clients to enhance their ESG programs. His work has covered all phases of ESG from strategic planning, project implementation, to public reporting. He has worked with a variety of corporate organizations and public agencies but most recently, has primarily been focused on corporate real estate and private equity clients where he has specialized in materiality assessments.
